Amy Shivvers
Amy Shivvers is part of Crain’s Chicago Business management team and the director of Crain’s Event Department. Working for a media company exposes Amy to companies, leaders and influencers across industries and roles. The event business provides Amy visibility to the business community while building new programs to facilitate engagement for professionals to learn and network.
Amy’s passion and experience in helping others gain confidence, focus and inspiration started when she worked for the largest department store, Nordstrom, building a loyal clientele. The power of looking good and feeling good empowered clients’ confidence, positively impacting their personal and professional lives. Amy enjoyed being part of the transformation. Another source of Amy’s inspiration and strength stems from a heritage of strong, smart, professional women who demonstrate and take charge attitude along with compassion and the mantra of don’t sweat the small stuff.
Fast forward and today Amy is creating a new way for clients to leverage coaching with a multi-dimensional focus on one’s life including career, wellbeing, self-confidence and relationships. Amy believes that all aspects of life are intertwined and when one dimension is askew it can impact everything, positively and negatively. Finding balance, happiness, focus and power to implement change is part of the journey.
Amy is a graduate from Flank 5 Coaching Academy and a facilitator for Crain’s Career Strategy Weekend. Amy plans to host a Women Warrior Weekend inviting women (men’s workshop to follow) to be part of an intense and rewarding experience where Amy’s hard core coaching approach will motivate for
life-changing results!
